FoneTech began with a simple idea: people deserve a local repair shop that fixes things quickly, charges fairly and doesn’t push them into buying a new phone. That idea still drives us. Today our Northumberland Street team looks after hundreds of phones, tablets and laptops every month for customers from across Newcastle, and we’ve refined every step of the process without losing the personal touch.
FoneTech opened as an independent shop with one goal: fix devices quickly, fairly and properly. We wanted local people to have a real alternative to replacing tech that could be saved, and to make a good repair feel easy rather than stressful.
Phones kept getting more complex, so we kept learning. Our technicians moved on from simple screen swaps to board-level work, liquid damage recovery and micro-soldering, investing in better tools as each new generation of devices arrived.
We started out repairing phones, then customers began bringing in everything else. We listened. Today we also repair laptops, tablets, smartwatches and games consoles, across all the major brands. It's the same bench, the same care and the same honest pricing, just a wider range of devices.
